Al grew up in Sydney, Australia, and Assisi, Italy. He studied at The University of Sydney (BA, Fine Arts and Philosophy), and the American Film Institute Conservatory (MFA).
Al has exhibited at Carriageworks, film festivals around the world, as well as having work published in Dazed,Fader, HypeBeast, Art and Australia magazine, Vice, Financial Times London, and Billboard. His video for “Cholo Love” went to number #1 video on iTunes. After graduating he was described as “a true stylist who is quickly announcing himself as an auteur” and listed among the six “New Directors to Watch” from his AFI graduating class by MiniFlix TV.
